Bank documents presented to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) which is investigating the scam, have revealed that Murkomen's law firm, Singoei, Murkomen & Sigei Advocates, received payments amounting to Sh15 million in two batches.

The monies were paid by former radio presenter Angela Angwenyi's Out of the Box Solutions Ltd, which allegedly received a whopping Sh90 million by NYS, 30 days after registration.

According to KTN, Murkomen's firm first received Sh8 million from the Cooperative Bank, and later received Sh7 million from the Family Bank.

Murkomen, however, downplayed any links to the scam, and reiterated that his firm received no payment after issuing legal services to Ben Gethi, one of the key suspects in the multi-billion scandals.

Members of the PAC which is chaired by Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo are yet to decide whether to summon the Senate Deputy Majority Leader for clarification after the fresh revelations.

Murkomen had publicly announced that he is ready to appear before any investigative entity for clarification of the scam.

He blamed former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru for linking him to the scam, without producing evidence to support her claims.

Murkomen demanded that Waiguru be prosecuted over the NYS scandal.
