Speaking on Monday, the politicians hit out at Jubilee’s top leadership, accusing the party of sidelining them in government appointments.

Led by Economic Freedom Party (EFP) chairman Issack Abey, the members criticised Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto for failing to honour their pre-election pledges of rewarding them with government positions.

Abey said it was unfortunate that EFP members were sidelined in cabinet appointments despite wooing Mandera residents to vote for Uhuru in the August 8 elections.

“We are bitter to the extent that we have been used and dumped by the Jubilee Party. This marriage seems not be working, and we are reviewing our relationship,” said Abbey.

He further hit out at UhuRuto, accusing the duo of rewarding parties that did not deliver votes to Jubilee in last year’s polls.

“We have five MPs against Jubilee’s two in Mandera, but we got no leadership position in Parliament. Nobody from our party was considered for EALA despite us voting for Uhuru to the last man,” said Abbey.

“Parties that brought nothing have been awarded senior positions in government,” he added, as quoted by Kenyans.co.ke

The EFP chairman also complained over been blocked from raising their concerns with the party’s top leadership.

“We have been trying to reach them, but they have been avoiding us,” added Abey.
