Nyali MP Mohammed Ali, alias Moha Jicho Pevu, could be headed for a clash with former Devolution and Planning Cabinet Secretary, Kirinyanga Governor Anne Waiguru after he linked her to the new Sh9 billion NYS scandal.
The former investigative journalist linked Waiguru alongside several other leaders and companies to the scam in a statement he read in parliament on Tuesday.
Ali urged relevant authorities to investigate the individuals and the companies, saying they were the main suspects.
However, in a quick rejoinder, Waiguru through her lawyer Mohammed Muigai, has demanded for an apology from Moha failure to which she will institute a legal action in seven-days time.
"Take notice that unless we hear from you [within the stipulated time frame] we have mandatory instructions to institute legal proceedings against you at your own peril as to costs and attendant consequences," read the lawyer's statement.
According to the governor, words used by the MP were defamatory and described her as someone who is unfit for public office.
"Our client instructs that the defamatory words are actuated by extreme malice and calculated to cause her to be ridiculed and treated with contempt and disclaim."
