Accomplices to a woman said to be Nairobi's most wanted female criminal have been arrested.

Two suspects said to have worked closely with Lavender Akinyi who police describe as dangerous following a series of burglary cases that happened in leafy suburbs of Kilimani, Riverisde and Westlands in Nairobi were arrested on Monday. Plice have not revealed their identities.

The two are expected to be arraigned in court on Tuesday to face burglary charges. Akinyi who is claimed to be their leader was arrested two weeks ago.

Akinyi was last week charged with diverse counts of burglary and arraigned in court alongside three Tanzanians Shimon Ambasa Khan, Teresa Richard and Rose Richard.

Prosecution said there are twelve other files in police stations in Nairobi and all of them will be presented in court to back prosecution evidence against the accused.

The three Tanzanians and Akinyi are linked to a series of robberies in Dagoretti, Nairobi. One of such incidents happened on March 23, 2018 at Cullinun Apartments.

The four are reported to have broken into the house of Wan Baihui where they stole a laptop, Sh30,000, $100,600, Chinese Yen and jewelry.

Akinyi was freed on a Sh1.2 million bond. Khan was directed by court to deposit a cash bail of Sh500,000 with an alternative bond of Sh1 million while the two Richards were ordered to pay a cash bail of Sh100,000 with an alternative bond of Sh200,000.
