[Photo|ODM]National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has arrived in Ugunja, Siaya County, for the burial ceremony of slain Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), ICT Director, Christopher Msando.His body arrived at the Kisumu International Airport on Friday afternoon, from Nairobi's Lee Funeral Home, and was transported by road to his rural home, at Lifunga village.
Raila arrived alongside his Nasa co-principals, Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, and Siaya Senator James Orengo.
Several politicians including Kisumu Governor-elect Prof Anyang' Nyong'o, Siaya Governor Cornell Rasanga, and Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi, also arrived.Msando went missing on July 29 only for his relatives to find his body at Nairobi’s City Mortuary.Mortuary attendants said the body was taken to the mortuary by police officers who found it at a thicket in Kikuyu, Kiambu County.
Leaders have since called for investigations into the murder, with his wife, Eva, saying justice will get up with whoever murdered her husband.Msando is survived by wife and four kids.
Earlier Saturday, Raila and his colleagues attended the funeral service of late Mzee Saul Omunga Amugira, at Nyoritis Likuyani Constituency, Kakamega county.
He was the father to Nasa Chief Executive Officer Norman Magaya.
