The move by a section of Jubilee leaders to announce their endorsement and support for Water CS, Eugene Wamalwa to vie for Nairobi's gubernatorial seat is unconstitutional according to the law.

On Sunday in Kiambu County, Ferdinand Waititu said that Jubilee will support Wamalwa to unseat Kidero in 2017.

I suppose this is not the way Kenyan politics should be done. Before one joins politics, he should first resign from his or her place of work.

In this case, Wamalwa being in the government serving Kenyans does not give him the right to seek political support since his work as Water CS does not allow him to engage or be involved in any way with politics.

In the past few months, residents of Kibera have been missing water under the leadership of Eugene Wamalwa. If he has failed to ensure that there is plenty of water to residents within the county he intends to rule, will he be able to get support from the residents who have suffered?

Wamalwa should first concentrate on his work as Water CS and ensure all that people need in terms of water supply has been met before getting interested in Nairobi politics.

A sitting in Cabinet secretary should not be engaged in politics and Kenyans now must worry how politics in Kenya has turned to be everyone's business.

People who should abide by the law are the ones doing the opposite. Will such leaders expect common mwananchi respect the same law they are doing against its requirements?

Wamalwa's involvement in politics while still serving as water cabinet secretary is unconstitutional and shows how greedy he is since he knows very well he should not be associate with politics in any way.

His political involvement as well serving as the minister should be condemned at all costs and Nairobi County's constituents should vote such greedy and selfish leaders who are after their own interests and fame.

Wamalwa should note that endorsement itself by leaders will not make him win since voters can only decide who to vote and who they should not vote for.
