Kenyans will now have to dig deeper into their pockets as fuel prices have increased.Starting Friday midnight, the prices will go up by between Sh0.94 and Sh2.22 per litre. The rise according to Energy Regulatory Commission is as a result of higher global oil prices.The cost of a litre of kerosene has increased by Sh0.94, the price of super petrol has gone up by Sh2.22 per litre while diesel has increased by Sh1.00 per litre.A litre of super petrol in Eldoret is costing Sh100.22 while diesel and kerosene retail at Sh89.04 and Sh66.31 per litre respectively.In Nairobi, a litre of super petrol retails at Sh98.30, diesel at Sh86.86 and kerosene at Sh64.36.A litre of super petrol in Nakuru is costing Sh99.04, diesel at Sh87.79 and kerosene at Sh65.23.In Mombasa, a litre of super petrol is retailing at Sh95.08, diesel at Sh83.63 and kerosene at Sh61.63.Motorists in Kisumu are paying Sh100.29 for super petrol per litre, Sh89.04 for diesel and Sh66.30 for kerosene.In Mandera, Diesel, kerosene and super petrol are retailing at Sh100.67, Sh112.11 and Sh78.17 respectively.The prices will run up to October 14.
