Addressing parents at Nyabiosi Secondary School on Tuesday, Gesima MCA Ken Atuti claimed that the area MP had taken long to fulfil his promises with the locals directing their anger to him.

Atuti said the money given by the county government for development could not allow him to renovate all the institutions due to its limit but asked MP Bosire to use the CDF Kitty to help the affected institutions put new roofing.

“I have been always challenged by you people to renovate some schools in the area, but I am sorry to inform you that MCAs get very little money for development from the county. The limited resources we get can only be used to motivate teachers and students for better performance,” said Atuti.

MCA Atuti added, “In 2013, our MP promised to disburse CDF to all institutions which have been struggling due to their ageing classrooms. This is his obligation and he has no choice but to comply.”

Atuti threatened to lead anti Bosire campaigns if the ODM Legislator fail to address the thorny issue in a month’s time.

“I promise to side with you if he fails to deliver on his pre-election promises. He has to face our wrath at the ballot and he has only a month to rectify the situation,” added Atuti.

Among the schools that needs urgent renovation include Nyabiosi Secondary School, Riakworo, Riosiago, Riooga among others.
