NASA leaders at past. [Photo|Nasa coalition]"Press ReleaseSupport for the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga to be sworn as the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya.Following the announcement by the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga that he will be sworn in as the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya on the 12th December 2017, we the National Supper Alliance (NASA) - UK branch hereby reiterate our full and unwavering support to have our NASA leaders the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga and Hon Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka to be sworn in as the People’s President and Deputy President respectively. This position is informed by the fact that we in diaspora and many other Kenyans do not to recognise legitimacy of Uhuru Kenyatta and his government despite being coroneted into the office on Tuesday 28th November 2017.Based on the results of August 8th presidential election, we are reliably informed that the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga was clearly rigged out through manipulation of technological electoral equipments. The Supreme Court Judges during the hearing of this petition ordered the Independent Election and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to open up its servers for forensic audit to establish who the real and true winner of the presidential election was between Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga. IEBC and Jubilee Party rightly refused to open the servers which we have so far established contained figures that indicated that the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga had won with circa 8.8 million votes while Uhuru gained circa 7.1 million votes. In addition, the election of 26th October Uhuru only got about 27% of the registered votes meaning that over 70% of the Kenyan voters had voted for the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga. This presented a clear referendum win and vote of confidence for the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga. This ultimately makes Uhuru government an illegitimate minority government in the likeness of Ian Smith’s government in Rhodesia and the Boers’ Apartheid government in South Africa. It is also in public domain that the Supreme Court determined that Uhuru Kenyatta was not duly elected and as a result ordered IEBC to conduct a fresh presidential election in strict compliance with the constitution and the existing election laws at that time. This didn’t go well with the Jubilee Party which using its numerical strength in both the houses of Parliament amended the election laws skewed towards protecting their election theft, NASA on the other hand came up with irreducible minimums aimed at making sure that IEBC would by implementing such will conduct a free, fair and verifiable elections. We therefore reiterate that we will not recognise Uhuru Kenyatta as a legitimate President of the Republic of Kenya until he agrees to spearhead acceptable electoral reforms culminating in a fresh, free, fair and verifiable election in all the 291 Constituencies of the Republic of Kenya. Until then, we the NASA – UK affirm our utmost support and loyalty to the Rt. Hon Raila Odinga and his Deputy Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and looking forward to their swearing in as the President and Deputy President respectively on the 12th December 2017. Our support for this swearing of our President and Deputy President is perfectly legal as Kenyans have the right not to recognise an illegitimate government and in exercise to our inert right to self-determination as envisaged within article one of the Kenyan constitution under the premise of people’s social contract. We would also like to condemn with strongest words possible the ongoing ethnic cleansing being meted on communities aligned to NASA by the police who have clearly been infiltrated by the illegal Mungiki gang under the guise of Nairobi Business Community in full knowledge of the Jubilee government. This ethnic polarisation has been documented in several reports by the Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC), Amnesty International among other civic organisation in Kenya. The blood of the innocent victims is crying for justice. We therefore call on the British Government to refrain from engaging with the illegitimate government of Uhuru Kenyatta which is presiding over the campaign of murder and mayhem. We urge the British parliament to join the international community in condemning this gross and heinous violation of human rightsOn Tuesday 28th November 2017, three people were killed as police moved to stop a planned National Super Alliance (NASA) prayer rally for victims of police brutality at Jacaranda grounds in Embakasi, Nairobi. The officers in full anti-riot gear threw teargas everywhere, including residential estates, and beat up whoever they came across. The clash between the police and NASA supporters came after Nairobi County Police Commander Japhet Koome warned the opposition against holding the prayer meeting. They started by sealing off the venue before unleashing their arsenal on a group of youths who were marching to the grounds. It is understood that on the night before the Jacaranda rally, unknown people ferried and dumped raw sewage including human waste on the spot where dais was to be erected. This was done in complete disregard to the associated health risks involved and in violations of the Public Health Regulations. To date, it is estimated that about 54 people have been killed by police between November 17 and 28, the number of the injured is too big to contemplate. This estimated figure includes 18 who were killed on November 17 as the police tried to block NASA supporters from reaching Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and accessing Uhuru Park for a public rally while welcoming the Rt. Hon Raila Odinga from a 10-day US tour.We would like to put Uhuru’s government on notice that these police killings of unarmed Kenyans which have been widely circulated through the social media and which include women and children amounts to crimes against humanity contrary to the Rome’s statute and that we will be pursuing the perpetrators of such heinous crimes through the right channels. We therefore would like to state as follows:• We are deeply aggrieved by the extreme damage of Kenya’s image in the international scene because of poor leadership of Uhuru and Ruto. Their incompetence and lack of respect to the rule of law in the country has eroded the citizens of long standing pride which has rendered Kenyans to second class citizens, causing alarm and distress in addition to deep pain and sorrow to those within and outside the country. This must change before it’s too late.• That police and militia groups must stop killing peaceful demonstrators in Kenya which has continued since the annulment Presidential elections by the Supreme Court of Kenya 8th August 2017 as they engage in ethnic profiling and murder of NASA supporters.• We stand with those killed and pray for the affected families and communities across the country and call upon the International Community to live up to the watchdog standards especially the British Government which we share valuable historical governances and relationships. As a result we wish to ask the British Government to continue supporting the Police reforms in Kenya but ensure that this is not a conduit to replace values with profits.• We call upon all true friends of Kenya to stand with us and condemn in the strongest term possible all the Foreign and Local Companies whose activities have led to loss of lives, negative ethnic profiling and played part in denting our democracy in their quest for Profits i.e. Cambridge Analytics, Safron and OT Mopho. • Accordingly, we call upon the Governments where the above named companies have headquarters to initiate effective legal investigations to unearth the truth and bring those complicit to books.• Kenyan Debt level is worrying, it has been reported in the Kenyan local media that the Treasury are looking float another Eurobond-like borrowing to pay off the previous debts (a case of borrowing John to pay Smith). This has in effect had a negative impact in the Kenyan economy making life unbearable for many Kenyans. As such we call upon the Kenyan Government to refrain from unnecessary borrowing based on political desires rather than building a robust and prudent economy.• We would like to caution partners not to buy relationship from those holding illegitimate power, Kenya belongs to 45 Million people, their mandate to attract debt and pay debt should not be neglected.• Kenya Diaspora community will stay vigilant, engaged and will continue to highlight issues affecting Kenyans at every stage, we will work with inward investors and lobby on behalf of County Governments to enhance local investments and development.• We support NASA’s call to boycott the services of the companies that are linked to the illegitimate, minority, and unconstitutional government including, Safaricom, Bidco and Brookeside.• We also support the setting of Peoples Assembly as a way of engaging ordinary citizens in entrenching the democratic principles and values within the different arms of government for a truly People’s Republic country.• That we shall continue to help in whichever way possible to fight bad governance, extrajudicial killings, violation of human rights and subjugation of our new constitution.• We shall continue to fight for recognition of the Diaspora representation in the Kenya parliament starting with setting of Peoples Assembly in London which has started in earnest.Long Live NASA. Long live Kenya!!Kivindyo NdivoChairmanOn behalf of NASA-UK Organising Committee."
