Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has launched a scathing attack against the Jubilee government over the recent appoints.
A furious Ngunjiri accused the government of taking Nakuru for granted.
"It cannot be that Nakuru is only for prayers, prayers start in Nakuru and end in Nakuru, but when it comes to government appointments, we are left out," the MP said.
"We have more than 900, 000 votes and we get no government appointment, yet some counties with only 100, 000 votes can get more than one Cabinet Secretary," he added.
Ngunjiri was responding to President Uhuru Kenyatta's recent appointments for Cabinet Secretaries, Chief Administrative Secretaries and Permanent Secretaries.
He said no Kikuyu, Kalenjin, Somali, Kisii or anyone from Nakuru had been given a 'big job'.
"Our voters are asking us questions, why we vote as a block but we are left out. We want if it is a Kalenjin, he should be from Nakuru or if it a Somali he should also be from Nakuru so that our people can go to him when we have issues," the vocal MP said.
He also took issue with the Geothermal Development Company (GDC) in his constituency saying no senior position in the company is held by a resident.
The CEO and board of directors positions, he said, are all held by people from other regions.
Ngunjiri said this trend has in the long run denied qualified Nakuru residents opportunities to serve in government top organs as those given the jobs hire people from their areas.
"I must speak the truth, the years I have lived are the many, the remaining ones are for telling truth to the regime," Ngunjiri said.
