There seems to be discord in NASA once again after Wiper Party said they need a review of the parliamentary committees’ leadership.
The party, led by Kalonzo Musyoka has said the coalition went against their originally agree lineup, and want now a reversal.
This came to the fore on Wednesday in a meeting that was also chaired by Musyoka at the party headquarters.
The party registered its dissatisfaction over how it was treated in sharing parliamentary slots, a process that happened in the absence of Musyoka, Who was in Germany tending his sick wife.
“It is not a light matter. Our members have expressed strong sentiments that when Mr. Kalonzo was away, the committee positions were not shared as agreed. We will be looking for a reversal to the original agreements,” said Wiper party chairman, Prof Kivutha Kibwana.
The ODM party is said to have forced its way into most of the leadership roles in the house, contrary to the agreement the coalition had.
The situation got worse on Wednesday when Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi of ODM took the Public Accounts Committee chairmanship, although the coalition had reportedly settled on Mr. Musalia Mudavadi’s point man, Sakwa Bunyasi of Nambale.
Ben Momanyi of Borabu complained about the floor of the house when the Parliamentary Service Commission slot was ‘taken’, saying ODM was using its numerical advantage to bulldoze the other parties.
