Mugambi  addressed news reporters yesterday, saying that cases of young people failing to crime have gone up. He stated that situation was becoming worse and urged leaders to come with measures to rescue the youths.

“Youths should know that crime will not add value to their lives,” he said.

Mugambi warned that the police will not hesitate to arrest youths who took part in crime. He called on area youth leaders to sensitize their young people on effects of crime and work with the police to maintain law and order.

Meanwhile, Mugambi lauded residents for their support towards the fight against illicit brewing. He said that cases of illegal brewing have gone down thanks to the team work between locals and the police.

Mugambi warned those still brewing saying that their days were numbered and that the law would catch up with them.

Mugambi noted that illegal brewing and alcohol abuse were some of the major issues facing the ward.

He said that the police will work tirelessly in a bid to tame the sale of illicit alcohol and other illegal substances.
