Francis Mwangi who won the Betway Sh11,875,000 jackpot says that he declined several early settlement offers from the company as he was sure he would win the jackpot.
Mwangi, an accountant and poultry farmer from Thika said that he declined several cashouts starting from Shs.900, 000 up to Shs.4, 000, 000 and finally Shs.8, 000, 000 until he finally won the jackpot of shs.11, 875, 000.
Speaking while receiving his paycheque in Nairobi today, Mwangi admits that he declined the offers because he had done his research and he was very sure he would win.
“For the first time since I got married I watched the final game with my wife to confirm that we had actually won the money,” explained Mwangi.
Mwangi said that he will use his money to expand his poultry business from 1, 000 to 2, 000 chicks, buy land for his family and start a dairy farm.The 38-year-old father of two says he will continue with his job as an accountant as he expands his farming business.
Mwangi who started betting with Betway in 2015 confirmed that he will continue betting since he had previously won Kshs.190, 000, Kshs.30, 000 and Kshs.6, 000 on the platform.
Queried on how where he gets his money he confirmed that he plays multi-bets that give him ‘small winnings’ that he, in turn, invests on the jackpots.
Mwangi advised people betting to do research and they will be guaranteed to win.
