The once reported poverty stricken constituency in Kilifi County Ganze constituency may be soon become a well-developed constituency after a series of strategy meetings aimed at changing the constituency was launched by the area Member of Parliament Teddy Mwambire.

Mwambire who met the Egyptian Ambassador to Kenya Mohamoud Ali Jalaat to chat on how the Country can partner with his constituency in transforming lives said that the fruitful discussion will see Ganze constituency get a facelift and a total transformation.

Speaking in his constituency on Wednesday Mwambire said issue concerning modern irrigation farming, digging of boreholes and modern ways of harvesting rainwater for irrigation were some of the issues discussed to ensure that local farmers venture into modern farming.

Mwambire said that since the area is facing prolonged drought thus making locals cry for relief food locals will be educated on how they can embrace modern farming method so that they do not suffer lack of food whenever there is prolonged drought.

The Ganze legislator said that it is through such partnership that his constituency will truly transform lives and fight poverty.

“We will meet more partners so that we deliberate concerning various issues in our constituency since our main goal is to transform lives by fighting poverty” he added.

Mwambire also said that he will work closely with Kilifi County government so that Ganze also gets adequate and relevant development projects so that locals benefit from the devolved government.

On his part, Ambassador Jalaat said that he will work closely with the area MP who has shown great interest in uplifting the lives of his constituents through the clear development and economic agenda.
