Abdi Ahmed, an aspiring MCA in Garissa Township has told off critics of the present county administration, saying the county needs time to grow and mature.
"Critics should not take challenges being experienced in our county as opportunity to condemn or to label it as failure. Garissa County is only four years old, it is still a baby, so we need patience and give the county time to stabilize,” Ahmed stated.
The aspirant further added that Garissa County is one of the counties which, for years, has had the lowest health indicators as compared to other counties in the country.
"When this administration under the leadership of Nathif Jama came into power barely four years ago, there was nothing much worth celebrating. But for now we can celebrate the fruits of devolution," he added, citing the recent progress in the health sector.
