Addressing the press at parliamentary buildings on Friday, the leaders said that KDF should come clear over the matter.
Led by Dadaab MP Dr. Mohammed Duale together with Lagdera MP Mohammed Shidiye, lamented that the number of people disappearing under unclear suspicious ways has continued to increase in the area.
The leaders said that around 300 people have gone missing after being arrested since 2009, which they said is not acceptable, while citing the case of Dekow Khalif, a prominent businessman who went missing in May.
“We are also particularly concerned about the incidents involving Dekow Mohammed Khalif a prominent businessman from Liboi town who was kidnapped at his business premises in Liboi town at 6 pm on May 2017 and two other people,” Dr Duale said, as quoted by Baraka FM.
Duale said that if the matter is not dealt with as expected then they leaders will have no choice but to mobilize local residents to organize protests in different parts of Garissa.
“Failure by government or its agents to satisfactorily address this matter, we are going to mobilize our constituents to stage peaceful demonstrations.”Dr Duale said.
