The county assemblies of Garissa, Wajir and Mandera will be officially opened on Wednesday.
The members of the county assembly (MCAs) are expected to attend the opening of the house as they kick off their mandate to the electorate.
The opening of the county assemblies was put off last week following President Uhuru Kenyatta’s meeting at State House, which saw all leaders attend.
Uhuru met the MCAs where he addressed different issues affecting the nation ahead of the fresh election scheduled on October 26th.
The three governors are expected to outline their plans for the county during the sessions.
In Wajir, only three members of Parliament were from National Super Alliance (NASA) while Jubilee carried the day in Garissa and Mandera counties during the last general.
The county bosses of the three counties have pledged to work with different leaders to ensure development is realized.
In Garissa, Governor Ali Korane has assured residents that he will deal with different issues affecting their lives in various. He enjoys majority support with 14 Jubilee MCAs and Jubilee affliated speaker, Ibrahim Abass.
In Mandera, Governor Ali Roba lacks majority numbers from his political outfit but has assured the residents that he will deliver on their promises and work with other leaders for the sake of developing the region in the next five years of his governance.
