MCAs allied to NASA in Garissa county on Saturday congratulated NASA leader Raila Odinga for agreeing to work with the Jubilee government for the sake of development and growth in the country.
The MCAs led by Garissa County Assembly Minority Leader Mohamed Ali Sheikh said Raila's decision shows that he has the country's interest at heart.
"Odinga’s wise move will help heal and reconcile Kenyans who were divided during last year's divisive polls," said the MCA as quoted by the Daily Nation.
Ali said Raila represented NASA leaders while Uhuru represented those in Jubilee during the meeting.
"NASA co-principals Moses Wetangula, Musalia Mudavadi, and Kalonzo Musyoka among other NASA leaders were represented well and information going around on social media sites is false and misleading NASA supporters," he said.
He added that it is time the country to move on and politicians should shun playing politics.
"Kenyans are tired with prolonged politics. The country was caught up in divisive politics which brought about hatred and wars. NASA and Jubilee leaders should now focus on uniting the divided country and service delivery," he added.
The MCAs challenged Uhuru and Raila to live true to their promises and work to end political divisions in future.
