Residents of Garissa County have been urged to give their opinion on the County Integrated Development Plan.

Garissa Governor Ali Korane said residents from next week have an opportunity to criticize the development plan that will factor in the county’s main needs for the next five years.

Speaking at Garissa primary playground, Governor Korane said his administration values the views from the residents urging them to come out and be part of the development plan to enable the county government caters to their interests.

“I want to appeal to residents to come out and have their input taken into account when the county integrated development plan will be subjected to public participation.”

“Your input as the mwananchi who elected us into office is very important. I want all of us to move together in the development and prosperity of our great county,” he said.

The County Integrated Development Plan will include tarmacking roads in different parts of the county and initiate different development projects to benefit the residents.

The governor had said that his administration will prioritize food security, transform the current state of healthcare systems and promote sanitation, access to safe drinking water, improving education and roads in the county.
