Construction of Kiandutu's Garissa Road Primary school perimeter wall has kicked off.

The project is spearheaded by Kiambu County Women Representative, Ann Nyokabi.

Addressing journalists in the site area chief, Daniel Waiguru, said that the woman rep has fulfilled her promise and it is now upon residents to collaborate with the national youth service to construct the wall.

“The woman rep promised to provide us with building blocks. Already she has delivered more than 60 lorries of stones,” said Waiguru.

For now residents have already started digging tranches to erect the wall.

He said that they are going to build the wall in collaboration with the national youth service which has been up grading the slum for the past three months.

“We will also build an extra ablution block for school. We want the children to enjoy their stay in school,” added Waiguru.
