Garissa Township legislator, Aden Duale has revealed that his area of representation is lucky to be at the heart of the Jubilee government.
In an interview with a local daily, Duale said he frequently receives calls from State House thanking him for being there for the ruling government.
‘'I get calls from the president just to tell me how grateful he is to have me as the majority leader in parliament,” Duale said.
The legislator further said that occasionally President Kenyatta calls him to encourage him in his daily endeavours to defend the Jubilee government.
“He always tells me to remain firm. He even calls to just wish me a good night. With this I feel my constituents and I are indeed part of this government,'’ he added.
Duale also noted that Kenyatta usually calls him in the middle of fierce house debates just to know if Jubilee would carry the day, citing a past debate to approve the nominee for the position of Solicitor General, Njee Muturi.
