The dreaded terrorist attack and mass murder that happened at the Garissa University has once again resurfaced to hit the global news headlines.
This has rekindled the pain and grief that befell the country on April 2, 2015.
After more than a year, the story has resurfaced following the recent Orlando, Florida shooting that happened at the Pulse Night Club where close to fifty people perished over the weekend in a deadly attack that allegedly targeted gays.
On how the Orlando attack re-awakened the Garissa college massacre, security experts argue that the two attacks were equally terrifying with both incidents happening at unexpected times and in unexpected places. The attacks were also conducted by terror groups reportedly affiliated to Muslims.
ISIS has since claimed responsibility for the Orlando night shootings with the Somali-based Al-Shabaab radicals claiming the Garissa College attack.
According to BBC and CNN, their previous stories on Garissa attack emerged as the most read recent stories in their news websites as at July 22, 2016. However, protests have erupted from the Muslim communities noting that their religion does not support terror activities as purported by Christians across the world.
