Despite being four kilometres from Gawasco pumping station in Garissa, the shortage of water at Bulla Rahma is still a problem.

A number of sisters from Hafsa Binti Siriin Institute raised money and bought one water boozer for the people of Bulla Rahma for days storage and some other villages especially, Deka Bure, Tawakal, Noor and Sambul have never enjoyed piped water for over the last 4 years.

Majority of people in these villages can hardly afford even one meal a day. The Garissa County government should provide water for the residents to cater for their needs and welfare so that they can live in good environment.

Residents of Garissa town and it’s surroundings are pleading to those who are in a position to kindly help with whatever they can as contribution. The contribution will be used towards water and food so that lives can be saved.

Residents of the villages are still hoping to get water from the government and non-government organisations that may be willing to help them. As for now, life is still hard for them.
