Garissa County Governor Nathif Jama says that the County had witnessed an increase in wedding ceremonies since the County system was introduced four years ago.
On his Facebook post after attending a marriage ceremony in Garissa, the Governor said the trend was healthy, adding that he expects more of such unions to take place in the near future.
“Weddings and marriages have been in the news a lot recently since the inception of Devolution four years ago. I would love to celebrate wedding ceremonies every week as this is good for the people of Garissa County,” said the Governor.
The Governor has attended four wedding ceremonies in the last month of August alone.
