Garsen MP Ibrahim Sane has declared that he will retire from elective politics at the end of the current parliamentary term in August.
Sane said he will have handed over the projects he initiated during his tenure by June 30.
The legislator, who succeeded Danson Mungatana, said his next move is to ensure that Tana River Governor Hussein Dado isn't re-elected.
"I am now training my eyes on bigger things chief among them is the removal of Dado from office through ballot, because he has terribly failed the people of Tana River County," said the lawmaker while speaking at Gafuru on Monday.
Sane has already declared support for County Assembly Speaker Nuh Sasir, whom he termed as the best candidate to unseat Dado in the upcoming polls.
Dado, however, termed the criticisms against his administration as smear campaigns, and dared his rivals to challenge him in the polls.
Mungatana has also declared that he will vie for the position in the August polls on a Jubilee Party ticket.
