Speaking at Gitothua Secondary school where she commissioned the construction of a new administration block on Monday, Gathogo said she needed more time to complete development projects she has started.

She said that she has initiated various development projects for the four years she has served as area MP adding that her dream is to push for development in remote areas and bring services closer to the people.

“My appeal is to you locals to support the activities I am doing so that we can achieve and realise development,” she said.

Gathogo assured locals that she is still pushing for development projects that will change their lives.

She said that she has pushed development especially in the roads sector with several roads being renovated and expanded. Gathogo said that she will not engage in early campaigns and that she will use the remaining time to initiate more development.

The Ruiru parliamentary seat is being eyed by several people among the nominated Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MP Isaac Mwaura who recently ditched the party and joined Jubilee.

Mwaura is said to be backing the support of Kiambu Governor William Kabogo to clinch the Ruiru seat come 2017.
