Students seeking bursary funds and scholarships in Gatundu South will get the money through online applications.
The constituency has launched an online platform that will allow needy but bright students get the money online.
Area Member of Parliament Moses Kuria told reporters that the move will enable many needy students to apply for the money.
“We have launched the online platform for bursary to allow many needy students to apply and get the money,” said the MP.
Kuria said that the move will also curb cases of corruption and that needy all applicants will have the same chance of getting the money.
The MP said that more money has been channeled towards bursaries and that students should apply for them.
He added that needy students have the opportunity to further their studies with the aid of bursaries.
He urged parents and guardians of needy students not to fear or tire up in seeking the funds.
Kuria said that more measures meant to improve education standards in the constituency would be put in place.
Commenting on the ongoing teachers strike, the lawmaker asked teachers to avail themselves for dialogue.
He said that it is through talking that teacher’s issues will be listened to.
