Children from Gatundu children's Home were on Wednesday entertained by Gatundu University Student Association (GUSU) team who had convened to end the children’s year in style.

Speaking near the District Commissioner’s office, one of the officials, Samuel Muthunga, noted that children required company and hope from people who have achieved several goals in the community.

He explained that the university students' forum was out to give hope to the 36 children at the children home.

He revealed that GUSU is an association of  Gatundu students who have enrolled for different courses from different colleges and universities countrywide.

Kabui, who is the secretary of the group, noted that it was appropriate for young mentors to instill hope to the abandoned citing that the visit was called for as a way of giving back to the community that brought them up.

The secretary confirmed that such forums would be held every holiday in children homes, elderly places and the disabled.
