A Kiambu county administrator has called on government officials to ensure they deliver the best out of their mandate to enhance equality in the service delivery.

Gatundu North sub county commissioner Daniel Nyamiti said that corruption has been on the headlines for long, and there is need to shun from it and give way for fairness in serving the public.

He noted that the current government has been prioritizing on better services to the public, and thus everyone should follow suit to ensure there are less cases of graft.

Speaking from his office on Friday, the sub-county commissioner said that his office will not give room to the corrupt officials; either county or National government as he is so strict on the quality of services delivered to the public.

He further called on the police to be on the front-line and lead by example as they are known for taking bribes, and cautioned that they risk their jobs if they involve in graft.

He noted that much of the Gatundu youthful population have no Identity cards, further calling on the immigration offices in Nairobi to fast track the issuance as most of them applied and they are yet to receive despite waiting for months.

He urged the government to consider building a Huduma Centre in the area to ease the access to some of the services that have been missing in Kiambu County.
