Gatundu district hospital has Monday  morning benefited from 30 hospital beds issued by cabinet secretary for health James Wainaina Macharia.

Speaking  in Gatundu district hospital, the CS stated the government’s dedication in helping reduce hospital bills and equipping hospitals.

Macharia, said that plans are underway to reduce hospital bills by 30% in a bid to make health care affordable to everyone. The 30 hospital beds that were issued are aimed at catering for the looming increase of patients in the hospital.

The Anthrax menace that had been reported in the area was mentioned and the public was warned not to feed on suspicious animal meat. “Ensure the meat you take is well checked by a qualified veterinary officer and report any suspicious cases to the police. We do not want any more innocent deaths,” Wainaina said.

Wainaina also seconded the president’s move to shun graft by calling all corrupt leaders to quit public offices. 'We acknowledge the president’s move to eradicate corruption in Kenya,” he added.
