Gatundu North sub county commissioner Daniel Nyamiti has warned residents from his region against engaging in the illicit brew business under the pretext of raising school fees for their children in January.

Nyamiti who was speaking from Glorious Ministry Church in Kamwangi on Sunday condemned those who engaged in the vice noting that it had contributed negatively to the development of the area.

"The vice has been drastically reducing but some don’t cares have sought other means of bringing it back. We have the information and we will not allow the business back. If you need to raise money to educate your children, you better begin engaging in other activities that are beneficial to both you and the society," he said.

He directed chiefs and sub chiefs from the sub county to ensure that no resident is engaging in the illicit business.

He noted that those residents who engaged in the illegal business were able people who could instead engage themselves in decent jobs.
