The MP said that he is operating on a fair ground and if one is capable of constructing the institution, he will give tender without discrepancies involved.

“The bidders should come and apply for tenders but they should be from Gatundu South. If you are qualified and seem capable, my team will give you the tender for the construction to start immediately,” said Kuria.

Kuria who was speaking on Friday in Gatundu town said that the bidders should be from his constituency to offer employment to the area residents and thus called on those interested to apply for the same in his office in Gatundu south town.

“I want eligible bidders from my constituency to apply for the tender in order to create employment since am sure Gatundu South has what it takes to establish the institute rather than poaching bidders from Nairobi,” said the MP.

He said that the deadline is 25 May and he has received numerous applications and his team in partnership with the Community Development Fund (CDF) Committee will sort the applicants and select those qualified for the job.

Kuria said that he does not want shoddy jobs from unqualified personnel thus urged the engineers in the constituency to come and participate in the construction of the GIST which will be among the biggest in Kiambu County.

He hailed Governor William Kabogo for the support in donation of funds in the ongoing project which will boost the academic excellence of the county.
