Boda boda riders from Gatundu South have praised their MP, Moses Kuria for helping them in acquiring a matatu.
Speaking yesterday at Gatundu South to members of Gatundu South Boda Boda Sacco,Martin Mwangi who is the Chairman of the Sacco said that Kuria was instrumental in empowering local youth.
“ Our MP has been in the forefront in empowering local youth to achieve their dreams”, said Mwangi.
He said that the MP has been positively involved in the interests of youth by initiating various income-generating projects.
“ Our MP has contributed immensely to the welfare of local youth both financially and morally”, said Mwangi.
He said that Kuria has portrayed a patriotic spirit by helping the youth contrary to the selfishness of most politicians.
Mwangi said the vehicle would help boda boda riders realize their dream .
“ Our dreams have started to materialize after the support of the MP', said Mwangi.
He revealed that the sacco will invest in matatu industry by buying more matatus to help in creation of job opportunities for other youth.
“ By investing in the matatu industry we expect to create job opportunities for other youth and create wealth”, said Mwangi.
Mwangi also urged other politicians to follow suit of Kuria and empower youth in different income-generating projects.
“We want our leaders to be a good example in contributing to the welfare of youth to enable them contribute to the growth of county and improve their livelihoods”, said Mwangi.
He further urged more youth to join the sacco to enable it grow in membership and attain its objective of job creation.
