Nakuru county government has partnered with Geothermal Development Corporation, GDC to set up development projects in the county.

GDC CEO Johnson Nchoe last week met governor Lee Kinyanjui to discuss the projects to be rolled out in the county.

The projects to be set up include an industrial park at the Menengai Geothermal project among others. Nchoe said  a Geothermal Center of Excellence has already been started in Naivasha.

"Soon we will begin a programme to train at least 100 youth annually," he said.

Governor Kinyanjui said the collaboration with GDC will see the county grow economically.

Community projects such as the provision of clean water, upgrading medical facilities, and afforestation are among the projects GDC has already started in the county.
