Respected elders from the Mt Kenya region have turned to their traditional ways as the fate of October 26 poll becomes uncertain
Elders from Gikuyu, Embu and Ameru are camping at the foot of Mt Kenya as they ask God to intervene in the election crisis facing the nation.
"We are asking the God of Gikuyu and Mumbi to give us peace before and after the election," one elder said.
Mt Kenya is considered a holy ground for the communities.
