What Kiambu County assembly is doing is unconstitutional and divisive," Kinyanjui said."What we are saying is that this move is wrong because it does not observe nationalism and patriotism. What happens to some of us who were born in Kiambu but we are living in other regions?" he added.Kiambu County Assembly Majority Leader who is also the Kiambu Town MCA Anthony Ikenya moved the motion claiming that Kiambu residents were suffering from unemployment yet most companies and industries operating in the county outsource their labour. The MCAs, while debating the motion claimed that several institutions within the county had continued to contravene legal provisions in respect to employing at least 70 percent of dominant ethnic communities in a county and reserve 30 percent to non-dominant ethnic communities as specifically enshrined in section 65(1) of the County Government Acts 20.Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Uasin Gishu County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
