A funeral service of the late Interior and Coordination Cabinet Secretary Joseph Ole Nkaissery is currently underway in Kajiado.
This follows Thursday's memorial service, at the Nairobi Baptist church, after he died, July 8, over a heart attack, according to postmortem results, by the government.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto are leading mourners at the funeral service, at Nkaissery's Bisil home, with the widow, Hellen, and her four children in attendance.
Nkaissery who retired from the army In August 2002, to join politics in, served as the Kajiado Central MP from 2002 until 2014, when he was appointed to government, by Uhuru.
Aged 67, he was born November 28, 1949. Nkaissery is survived by a wife and four children, two female, two male.
