North Mugirango MP Charles Geni has questioned the ability of Jubilee Party to withstand democracy following fracases in different parts of the country during election of interim officials.
On Wednesday, Jubilee Party witnessed violence in different parts of the country, with Nakuru, Busia and Uasin Gishu counties being among the affected counties.
And Geni insisted that only Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) could allow free and fair polls in the country.
“ODM is a democratic party despite some of our short falls. We have held several grassroots elections before and I do not remember an incident where our members fought,” he said.
“Jubilee Party is undemocratic and that is why it witnessed skirmishes during its grassroots elections. They cannot match us and worse is coming during party primaries,” he told the reporter on phone.
The ODM party has been associated violence in the past with the most recent being a physical fight between Homabay Town MP Peter Kaluma and an aspirant in the presence of party leader Raila Odinga.
