Residents from Gesima ward in Kitutu Masaba constituency have challenged Governor John Nyagarama to visit the area to initiate projects which will develop them or  else prepare to go home in the next polls.

According to the residents, Nyagarama has never visited nor initiated projects in the area ever since he was elected.

Speaking to this writer on Monday, they said that they have been hearing that there are projects which have been initiated by the county but unfortunately there was nothing on the ground.

Led by their  leader Omwoyo Nyakundi, they accused the governor of sidelining the area on unknown reasons.

“Since Nyagarama was elected he has never visited the area to know what residents intend to get  from the county government. We therefore urge him to make sure that he initiates development projects or prepare to go home in 2017,” said Nyakundi

Susan Osiemo, a business lady from Gesima market, also shared the same sentiments, saying that the government of Nyamira had initially promised to install stalls in the market but nothing has been done.

"We are much disappointed since nothing us been done. The county government has sidelined and we need to assure them that come 2017 we will kick them out," said Ms Osiemo.
