A school heads association chairman from Masaba North sub-county may find himself jobless after a section of his members accused him of mismanagement and corruption.
Mr Charles Bosire, who heads the association in Gesima, is being accused of failing to account for Sh100,000 for the membership besides failing to release funds for a member who recently retired as dictated by their constitution.
On Tuesday, Mrs Josephine Nyang’ena of Nyaronge primary vowed to push for the removal of the chairman arguing that he was adversely contributing towards the collapse of the association.
“We are people of discipline and we have evaded the ongoing meeting at Mombasa to discuss his conduct. He has failed to account for Sh100,000 for membership besides failing to authorize payment of Sh20,000 during the retirement of one of our members,” she said.
They said the continued stay of Mr Bosire in office will hinder the businesses in the association and urged him to step down in an honorable manner.
“Let him just step down for the sake of his integrity. He should again explain to us the issues under question. This isn’t a small matter and we ought to lead as an example,” said Mr Ben Ongoi of Kebuko.
However, Mr Bosire told Hivisasa.com on phone that they were accusing him falsely and he was ready to account for the money in question.
“I have never stolen anything and it’s important to understand that. I am ready to explain all the details that they are asking for because I respect the rule of law,” he said.
