Kisii county traffic officer Erick Githinji has advised bodaboda riders in Kisii, Nyamira counties to get registered in various insurances agencies to get adequate help when involved in any tragedy.
According to the officer, once they become members of an insurance they are in a good position to get help from the company when it comes to compensation.
Addressing the bodaboda operators on Tuesday in Kisii town, Githinji advised the riders to make sure they get registered in an insurance company to get compensation once they get involved in accidents.
“It is a great loss when you don’t register for any insurance if you are involved in any tragedy nobody will compensate make sure you register,” said Githinji.
He also advised them to know who to carry at night time to avoid being terrorised since such incidents have been on the rise in the recent days.
