Machakos Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala has warned Kenyans against voting for leaders who perpetuate corruption and tribalism.

Kiala wants Kenyans to make informed choices by voting for leaders who will lead the fight against graft and tribalism.

The Machakos deputy governor who has declared interest in the county gubernatorial seat said that the country’s resources are being depleted by corrupt leaders.

“Kenyans must unite and come out in large numbers to vote out leaders who siphon taxpayer’s money,” he said as quoted by Daily Nation.

Kiala hit out at President Kenyatta’s Jubilee government accusing it of allegedly thriving on corruption and tribalism.

The Machakos deputy governor alleged that Uhuru’s government is the most corrupt in the country’s history.

Kaila further accused the Jubilee government of allegedly perpetuating tribalism.

He claimed that most public appointments made by Jubilee government only have representation of two tribes in the country.

Kiala said that time has come for Kenyans to root out bad leaders if the country is to achieve its development agenda.

The Machakos deputy governor asked voters not to be swayed by leaders who have failed to deliver and want re-election to continue looting taxpayer’s money.

The Deputy Governor exuded confidence of unseating his boss governor Alfred Mutua in the August polls.

The Deputy Governor said that he has an agenda to transform the lives of Machakos people once elected in August.

Kiala alongside Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) Party leader Wavinya Ndeti has vowed to send Governor Mutua packing in August.

Governor Mutua is, however, seeking re-election on his Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) party.
