Harambee Stars Striker Michael Ogada Olunga’s team Girona shocked the world of football with a 2-1 win over Uefa Champions League and La Liga defending champions Real Madrid.
The Catolonia based side defeated Madrid in Spanish League (La Liga) match on Sunday evening.Isco gave Real Madrid a first half lead before goals from Cristhian Stuani and Portu in the second half gave lowly Girona the historic win.
Even the presence of World best player Christiano Ronaldo in the Madrid squad could not prevent Zinedine Zidane’s side from losing to Olunga’s side.
Following the loss, Real Madrid remain third on the La Liga log with 20 points, while Girona climb up to 12th with 12 points after 10 rounds of play.
However, Olunga did not feature neither was he on the bench during the win. The former Gor Mahia striker joined Girona mid this year on a season long deal from China’s Guizhou Zhicheng.
