Baringo senator Gideon Moi has reportedly written to Inspector General Joseph Boinet asking for total overhaul at retired president Daniel Moi's home, reports the Sunday Nation.
Although Vigilance House is yet to comply with Moi's request, sources say that the family is keen to have the security details removed soonest.
The new turn out of events comes slightly two days after deputy president William Ruto was sneaked in to see the elder Moi but his efforts hit a snug.
Further, Moi believes that the security details worked covertly with Ruto's handlers to sneak him in without permission from the family.
KANU Secretary General Nick Salat said: "We do not want to further this matter but of course things will not be the same again after what we saw."
While official statement from Moi's family stated that the former president was seeing a doctor thus the reason why he snubbed Ruto, Tiaty MP William Kamket said that Ruto had not been invited.
"They sneaked the DP to someone's home without clearance. That was treason and criminal," he said.
