Baringo Senator Gideon Moi may after all resign from his law making duties to take a cabinet slot, reveals the Sunday Nation.

Moi, a son to former President Daniel Moi, is among those who have revealed intention to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.

And with an existing MoU between KANU and Uhuru, Moi is said to be willing to resign so that he serves in government ahead of 2022 presidential race.

"Some of the issues that made DP William Ruto to skip nomination of cabinet secretaries is inclusion of Moi," reports the leading publication.

It adds: "Moi, who is also chairman of KANU, has indicated willingness to resign as a lawmaker to serve in government."

At least, should he not resign, Moi's allies among them Kiprono Kittony and Isaac Ruto, are said to be lined up for the top jobs.

On Friday, DP Ruto is said to have skipped Uhuru's state house conference due to internal wrangles.
