Baringo County Senator Gideon Moi’s wife, Zahra Chebet Bahlewa Moi, has been appointed to the Tourism Research Institute Board.

Zahra landed the top parastatal job in new state appointments that were announced on Friday.

Mrs Moi was appointed into the position previously held by Dr Margaret Wawuda Mwakima.

According to the Kenya Gazette notice published on Friday, Mrs Moi’s appointment took effect from May 31st of this year.

Zahra Moi was last year awarded with a Magna Cum Laude degree in Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration by United States International University (USIU).

Magna Cum Laude is awarded to students with a GPA of above 3.7 out of 4.0.

In the Kenyan and British systems, a GPA of 3.68 out of 4.0 is equivalent to a First Class Honors.
