Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has been linked to opposition leader Raila Odinga's 2022 presidential election plans.
Speaking on AM Live on Tuesday, Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot claimed that the Senator has since joined the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader's bandwagon.
He termed this as the reason behind the sudden intimacy between the two leaders' blocks, citing the joint meeting during the National Tree Planting Day in Samburu East on Saturday, an event that was attended by Moi and members of his Kenya African National Union (KANU) party and close Odinga allies, including ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna and Kakamega Senator Cleopa Malala.
''It is no longer a secret that Gideon Moi is part of Odinga's team out to complicate things for Ruto in 2022. The two have joined their forces in an attempt to block the DP from succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta,'' he said.
''This is the reason behind their sudden political romance, culminating into the Saturday joint rally which included members from both blocks and Gideon himself,'' he added.
