Nakuru Town East lawmaker David Gikaria has pledged to work closely with the county leaders allied to and elected on the opposition alliance NASA ticket.Speaking while issuing Constituency Development Fund (CDF) bursary forms at St Theresa's Primary school, Kivumbini ward in the constituency Wednesday, Gikaria, a member of the ruling Jubilee Party, maintained that he will not use the party difference to seclude other leaders in his development agenda."We have been elected and are allied to different political formations but that will not hinder our cooperation. I am personally going to join hands with all elected and nominated leaders to ensure that Nakuru residents are served, said Gikaria who was flanged by the ward representative Wilbur Onyango of ODM.He also vowed to increase his office's education sponsorship allocation fro bright students come next year terming it as one of his plans to ensure that the constituency makes longer strides towards higher literacy levels." We have plans to increase our allocation for education sponsorship. We will increase the number of boys in our full secondary education sponsorship plan to ensure that the boy child gets an equal opportunity as his girl counterpart," he said.

The event saw 700 bursary forms issued to secondary school students and another 200 to their university and college counterparts.
