Gikaria said he was aware of the threats and pointed out that the group is well known.

“We have been reporting the gang and yet no action has been taken,” said.

“The mobile companies can be able to help us track the gang which has also led to the harassment and beating up of many of our residents,” he added.

Speaking through a telephone interview on Wednesday, Gikaria pointed out that they will beef up security in Flamingo area during the festive season.

Gikaria pointed out that the threats by Mungiki should also not be taken lightly, citing that many have been writing threatening sms to residents.

“We are appealing to anyone who has been threatened with death to report to the police or to me so that we can start the process of tracking the numbers which are being used,” The MP added.
