Gilgil police boss Serah Koki has vowed to deal with criminal gangs that are allegedly terrorising residents in the region.

Speaking to reporters at her office, Koki said security officers will not allow few individuals or gangs to cause problems to the locals.

She said law enforcers will conduct patrols and security swoops in areas perceived to be criminal dens.

Koki asked members of the public to report instances of crime and other suspicious characters to the police.

“Our officers are ready and will be conducting 24 hour security patrols, we are not going to allow criminal gangs or individuals with ill motives to cause problems in Gilgil Sub County,” she said.

Koki warned criminal gangs saying that they will be dealt with in line with the law.

The police boss urged locals to volunteer information to the police to enable them track the activities and hiding places for criminals.

She said that the public has a role towards ensuring security urging them not to fear the police, but report instances of crime and lawlessness to security officers for them to take action.
